A/Prof. Maureen Rischmueller

Associate Professor Maureen Rischmueller is the Director of Rheumatology at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and Clinical Associate Professor, Discipline of Medicine, University of Adelaide. 

Her main research interests are within the realm of inflammatory rheumatic diseases including Sjogren's Syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, and vasculitis. Her translational research program investigates pathogenetic mechanisms, novel auto-antibodies, genetic risk factors, clinical manifestations, and new treatments for autoimmune rheumatic diseases.

She has co-authored 65 peer reviewed papers and 3 book chapters, and is a principal investigator on the Arthritis Genomics Recruitment Initiative in Australasia (AGRIA).
